Power cuts for all - not long now!

As a society we continue to consume energy at an alarming rate. The Daily Telegraph today (01/01/09) states that Government figures have indicated that demand for electricity from homes and businesses will outstrip supply from the national grid within eight years. This means we will potentially face power cuts. The gap between supply and demand has raised concerns over the Government’s assertion that renewable energy can make up for falling nuclear and coal capabilities.
Solar shading is proven to reduce energy consumption and as temperatures get hotter will be needed even more to prevent the over-use of air con.
