The BBSA launched its campaign, 'make it safe' in 2009 to highlight the dangers of blind cords, chains and tapes to babies and young children. From an industry point of view the BBSA wants all manufacturers, sellers and installers to meet the simple but effective requirements detailed in EN 13120.
The BBSA also wants to raise awareness with building owners and users as to the risk associated with blind cords, chains and tapes.
The BBSA has created a simple brochure in four languages highlighting how to make existing window blinds safer and what to look for when considering new blinds and you can click the links below to access this.
