For sloping roof windows the blind is typically held under tension so the blind follows the angle of the window but stays close to the glazing. Sometimes this is by the use of tension wires or cords but usually the blind will incorporate side channels down the side of the blind or may be held in a frame that is then fixed to the window.
Roller, pleated (including cellular) and venetian are all popular blind styles for sloping roof blinds and the choice of materials across these blinds is extensive from light filtering to full black-out, including heat reflective fabrics.
Operation of these blinds is usually by a telescopic operating rod which will clip into a moving rail and allow the blind to be moved into place. However, cord operation and crank operation via a detachable winding handle are also available as is motorisation via 240V AC or 24V DC motors.
Horizontal roof glazing can be covered in a similar way with roller blinds, pleated blinds (including cellular) and Pinoleum blinds popular options.
