The BBSA is the only UK trade association for blinds, awnings, shutters and associated services.
With a heritage stretching back almost a century the BBSA is a progressive organisation helping members to shape and develop the industry whilst representing their interests.
Applications for membership are welcomed from any business involved in the blind and shutter industry who meet the entry criteria which can be viewed opposite.

As a member of the BBSA you can display the BBSA logo on all your advertising and marketing literature, stationery, vehicles and showrooms. The BBSA logo shows your customers proof of membership of the BBSA – the UK’s only trade association for the blind and shutter trade - and that you abide by the Code of Practice.
Members receive up to 5 BBSA photo identity cards, complete with holders and lanyards free of charge each year.
Only members are listed on the BBSA website which has increasing traffic from consumers and commercial customers as well as those in the industry.
Members can request free credit checks on any UK registered company. Reports are sent by email usually the same day.
All members are listed in the BBSA’s quarterly publication sent to over 4,500 named individuals in the blind and shutter trade.

Held twice a year in five regions these meetings are an ideal opportunity to update your knowledge and network.
All members receive regular updates on what they should and must be doing to comply with child safety requirements. Members can purchase posters, brochures and swing tickets to promote child safety. Members have free access to the BBSA’s ‘make it safe’ video.
Shade Specifier is the BBSA’s project to prove and promote the benefits of solar shading with a dedicated post graduate resource working full-time for the benefit of members. Members get free access to the BBSA Shade Specifier project.
The member section of the BBSA website has a host of information and is regularly updated with news, guidance, events and information.
ES-SO lobbies at the highest level in the European Parliament for the benefits of solar shading to be recognised in future legislation for all types of buildings.
The BBSA has been active on the European CEN for many years and this representation on behalf of members endeavours to ensure that any standards that are introduced are not detrimental to our industry or the eventual users of our products.
The NSCC represents specialist contractors and lobbies government and main contractors. The NSCC have been instrumental in the “Fair Pay” scheme and are now campaigning for the removal of retentions on sub-contracts.
BEEF is a federation of 19 trade associations involved in the energy saving industry. BEEF meets quarterly with Government officials to lobby for greater recognition of the energy saving industries.
